Ian Clennan

Ian Clennan is Chief Executive Officer of Selby Education Trust, he is a National Leader of Education and also Headteacher of a primary school in an area of high deprivation.

Ian is Headteacher of Selby Community Primary School, a Talk for Writing Training Centre. Ian has used Talk for Writing as a vehicle to transform the school. His sharp focus on raising standards and achievement has resulted in the school becoming highly successful and pupils at Selby Community Primary School now perform above the national average.

Ian has led on aspects of Talk for Writing’s development and use in history, art and French.
